Bid started his USA Hospitality career in New Orleans. In 1985, Bid moved to the United States, working as the restaurant manager at Café Vieux Carre in New Orleans, an establishment featuring Haute French cuisine. He has also been employed at the Fairmont and Meridian hotels in New Orleans. Bid graduated from the University of Tunis in Tunisia in 1982, with a major in French and then moved onto the Ecole de Tourisme de Carthage in Tunis, from which he graduated in 1984 with a major in Service, Culinary and Hotel Management. In 1990, Bid made the move to Florida.

With seventeen years’ experience here at Island Country Club in the Food & Beverage Department, Bid was promoted to Clubhouse Manager in 2016, General Manager in 2017 and Chief Operating Officer in 2021. Bid brings to his role an infectious personality, eagerness to serve the membership, and a true passion for the Hospitality Industry and making the members feel like family. In his spare time, Bid enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer, his two adult children, and his precious granddaughter, who is his mini-me!
